Civil Engineering Intern

Construction & Surveying Firm (School Credit Eligible)

Are you interested in gaining real-world experience in civil engineering and land development? We are seeking a motivated Civil Engineering Intern to assist with hands-on fieldwork and design support. Responsibilities:

  • Assist survey crews with land surveying and topographic data collection
  • Operate and take readings with laser levels and other surveying instruments
  • Support preparation and organization of CAD design files
  • Help with soil grading, compaction, and backfilling activities on job sites
  • Participate in photogrammetry and mapping for site documentation
  • Work alongside geological engineers to evaluate soil and ground conditions
  • Shadow engineers and contribute to project planning meetings

Requirements:

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with creating and scheduling posts for Facebook, Instagram, and potentially TikTok
  • Take and edit photos or short videos of job sites (before/after shots, time-lapses, reels, etc.)
  • Help brainstorm content ideas for seasonal promotions or behind-the-scenes features
  • Monitor social channels for comments or messages and engage with followers
  • Track basic metrics like follower growth, post reach, and engagement

Requirements:

  • Interest in social media, photography, and/or marketing
  • Reliable transportation (some on-site visits may be required)
  • Basic knowledge of platforms like Instagram and Facebook
  • Ability to work independently and meet simple deadlines
